Outside Adventures!

We had such a great day outdoors today! Oregon is sooooo green and beautiful full of sunshine (well, today) and nature. We headed mid-morning to a nice long walk where we saw 2 deer and played on the sand dunes. Then we headed to Tillamook to grab some lunch and eat in a park the kids always like to play at. After lunch, we went on a hike and saw a beautiful waterfall, it was gorgeous!

After that we headed to a Cape Meares, where there is a lighthouse. The lighthouse was closed but we were able to walk down and still see the ocean and all the birds. We also saw the Octopus Tree, a really cook sitka tree that grew 6 limbs and has a huge base of 50 feet. It was pretty awesome!

Then we drove home and had dinner and now we are playing games! We also watched one of my favorite movies on the way home, Andre! I love that movie no matter how many times my siblings have made fun of me, its a great movie:)

Unfortunately, we leave tomorrow, so i will be packing tonight:(

Off to eat some yummy ice cream!

Outlet Shopping:)

hey, today we went to the outlet stores for some good 'ol shopping. while my mom and i were in old navy, suddenly 2 cops ran past us and out the door. my mom followed them to make sure our other sister, who was in another store, was alright. we are not sure what happened b/c the cops were in the fitting room, maybe looking at the security cameras. maybe the robber had already left and they were checking his description....we don't know but there was sure something sneaky going on! of course, the girls went into claires and spent a loooooong time deciding what junk, i mean cool stuff, you can buy from the 10 for 10 dollars rack. we came home with shoelaces, rainbow colored hair and jewelry:)

afterwards, we grabbed some lunch and headed home and the girls played outside in the river. they had on their rubber boots and were pretending to cast their fishing poles in the river. it was so cute, but i forgot to take a picture.

we then just relaxed inside, playing games, taking a nap, reading and just chilling. in a bit, we are going to have dinner. hopefully, we can maybe take a walk later since the weather should be nice. have a great day, thanks for stopping by.

Beach Day:)

This morning the girls, Mom and I walked down to the beach. it was a tiny bit cold (well, at least for Mom and I) and looked for shells. The girls had their suits on so they played in the ocean, crazy kids! We walked down to the Cape where they were getting ready for a fashion show benefitting the Tillamook Animal Shelter. They had a few dogs available for adoption. We then walked over to the store for some hot chocolate and candy where I found I could buy bubble gum ice cream, my fav at the Cheese Factory! We walked back and ate lunch and rested a bit and then everyone went to the beach again. We took sleds so the girls could sled down the sandune, which they loved. The tides were low so they got to look around while some of us just sat and read our books. There were so many people there because it was such a beautiful day. There was also a wedding going on right on the beach, near the pub. A bit later we are going to have dinner with Walt and Weeze and then call it a night. The girls should be exhausted!

first day of vacation:)

so we woke up to a foggy day on the beach but it ended up being a very nice and sunny morning:) the girls played down by the river and then we came in and made grilled cheese sandwhiches for dinner...yummy!
after lunch, walt and weeze came by and it was really great seeing them. we then headed to tillamook for some groceries and ice cream, again....yummy!
we even made some friends along the way:

now we just relaxing and going to have dinner and watch a movie, since our tv is not working now, which is okay since our dvd player is working. okay, gotta run we are playing Mexican Train.....

okay, i had to come back and add these photos of the mussels Walt brought us to try. most of us tried them but there were a few who were too afraid too:) i loved them, they tasted pretty good. here are a few pics...apparently some did not appreciate the smell:)

okay, so were eating dinner and this song came on with the lyrics 'God is great, beer is good and people are crazy. mom went a bit crazy and started dancing and then she got all the girls to get up and dance. luckily, i got all this on video. she even got Dad to dance with her. omg, it was hilarious....i don't even want to know what the neighbors are thinking!

thanks for stopping by:)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Since today is all about being green we decided to make green pancakes, which were really
good. Only thing is, we had no food coloring so the green pancakes were really in our mind.
Nonetheless, the girls loved them!

Today, we are just hanging out watching Animal Planet, reading books, taking Flower on walks and just relaxing. We took the car into Tillamook for servicing so we have no car right now.
Yesterday, we took Flower on 3 walks, up and down the beach and all around. I think this morning she was a bit stiff and is probably glad we are just chillin'.

Since I like to have a picture for every post, here is one of the girls when they were only 3.....

Annie's Birthday:)

today is annie's 9th birthday and our first morning here in oregon.
we arrived last night and had dessert at the local pub...yummy!

we are off to see a movie, grab some clam chowder and maybe hit claires
for some shopping---sorry dad!

there is a huge, and i mean huge tree stuck in the middle of the river
we are all wondering how it got under the bridge b/c of its big size.

the forecast this week is to be wet and rainy all week, so we are going to
be staying inside for the most part. luckily, the girls enjoy arts and crafts so
we have some surprises instore for them.

we will try to update more often

Re: Missing Purse

If you had not heard already, Mom's purse was found! It was sitting quietly on the chair at the kitchen table. We have now named it the 'Naughty Purse'. When we leave, everyone will ask Mom to hold up her 'Naughty Purse' so it does not get left behind. The 'Naughty Purse' will sit in the front of the car at all times, so everyone will be able to keep an eye on that wild, wild purse. Who knew it could get into so much trouble:)
